But, it is costly to install its wires and electric sources may interfere with it. The next is the AM System. This is a step ahead of the Loop System. It provides greater mobility and better sound quality and is also susceptible to interferences.

The FM and the Infrared systems are the most recent ones. The disadvantage of the FM System is that any system that is radio based can interfere with its working. With the Infra Red System, most of these problems are solved. They are highly efficient and very user friendly.

Thus, we see that various kinds of hearing assistance are available for many kinds of hearing problems, even in case of nerve deafness norm. Nowadays, hearing aids can also be installed inside the skull of the patient. This is the most developed technological innovation in hearing assistance. Though costly, they are very effective.
